Payment
We accept all major, internationally accepted credit cards including: Switch, Solo, Visa, Mastercard and Delta.
You will be charged when your goods are ordered. The only exception to this is for deposits on “special orders”.
For customers outside of the UK we will charge your card in Pounds Sterling and your card company will make the exchange into your local currency. As exchange rates vary you will have to check with your credit card company for the exact rate. We cannot be held responsible for any variation in exchange rates or for any monies lost due to fluctuations. As a guide to the current exchange rate you can check the Universal Currency Converter at www.xe.net/ucc
Stock Levels
If an item you have ordered is temporarily out of stock it will usually become available in a short space of time as we place orders with our suppliers and receive deliveries on a daily basis. As soon as it becomes available it will be despatched to you, and if there is a problem with the item we will contact you.
In the event of an item ordered being temporarily out of stock, every effort will be made to fulfil the order within a reasonable timescale, however, if difficulties arise, you will be contacted. Rather than not have them listed at all, we keep them available to order on the site.
Prices and specification may change. Slane Cycles reserve the right to make alteration to price and specification but will notify the customer in advance of filling their order should the need arise.
Returns
We are happy to take back unwanted goods within 14 days of the date of purchase so long as they are returned to us in an unused, as new condition with the original packaging and invoice. All postage costs must be paid by the customer and a re-stocking fee will be charged on “special order” items. Faulty goods are covered by the standard manufacturers warranty against faulty materials or workmanship only. General wear and tear, incorrect or inappropriate fitting etc. are not covered. Faulty goods must be returned with proof of purchase. All postage costs must be covered by the customer. None of this affects your statutory rights.
When we custom build wheels or a bike for you, it is built specifically for you, and to your exact specification. This means that we are not obliged to accept back custom built items for a refund or exchange.
VAT and Import Duties
If you are a customer outside the EU or a business within the EU with an EU VAT registration number you are entitled to receive your goods VAT free. This does not include orders being delivered to the UK.
There may be import duties that will apply to the goods you are buying. If you want to find out what will apply to your order you will need to contact your local customs office. We are unable to offer a guide on this as they vary greatly from one country to another. You are responsible for the payment of any fees levied by your government and we are unable to reimburse any costs incurred regardless of the circumstances. Please note, by law, we have to complete a customs declaration to be attached to the outside of every package we send overseas. It is a criminal offence to falsify any details on this form. We cannot inaccurately describe the contents, claim a lower value or mark as a gift. Please do not ask, or expect us to do any of the above. We do not make the laws of your or our own country, we just follow them.
